The Regents Way
The Regents Way describes the habits and practices that shape the community of Regents Classical School. It is how our mission and philosophy take visible form in the life of the school.
Formation Over Information
Education is the formation of the whole person. We aim to cultivate wisdom, shape character, and guide the loves of our community toward what is true, good, and beautiful.
Ordered Affections
Our community is shaped by what we love. We cultivate habits of attention and desire, guiding our affections to delight in what is good and to turn from what is disordered.
Intellectual Virtue
We train students to think clearly, reason carefully, and communicate persuasively. Through the liberal arts and great books, they learn how to think, not just what to think.
Discipline Leading to Delight
Deep learning requires effort, attention, and discipline. Over time, this leads to joy as students encounter the beauty and coherence of truth.
Embodied Learning, Meaningful Work
Students are formed through embodied practices of work, craft, and cultural creation, developing patience, responsibility, and a grounded engagement with reality.
Formation for Faithful Living
We aim to graduate students who live with wisdom, courage, and humility, serving Christ in their homes, churches, and communities as the fruit of the gospel.
Partnership with Families
Education is a shared responsibility. We partner with parents in the formation of their children.
